NEWARK, OHIO
—As some major golf club manufacturers
begin testing the waters this year with utility
wood designs, The GolfWorks proudly announces
the return of the game’s best utility
woods with all-new “playability”
— Trouble Out fairway woods.
Applying the latest research into playability
to the previously best-selling utility wood
line, the new-for-2004 Trouble Out utility woods
utilize an advanced tungsten weighting design
and enhanced dynamic loft to make the most of
every shot made from either fairway or “trouble”
situations. In fact, the new Trouble Out utility
woods achieved the highest Playability Factor
rating of any utility wood ever offered at The
GolfWorks. Scoring in the 851+ Ultra Game Improvement
range — the highest category in the golf
industry’s premiere playability analysis
system — the Trouble Out design practically
guarantees to live up to its name.
“These 17-4 stainless heads incorporate
a 40-gram tungsten sole weight which significantly
lowers the head’s center of gravity and
helps get the ball airborne more easily and
quickly,” says Britt Lindsey, vice president
of technical services at The GolfWorks. “Plus,
by strengthening the lofts, we’ve made
sure that these utility woods provide an ideal
trajectory for maximum carry distance.”
Lindsey explains that the new Trouble Out woods
also feature new runners on the sole that aid
in lowering the center of gravity and keep the
head stable and online in medium- to high grass.
In addition, variable face heights increase
with loft to prevent excessive sliding under
the ball when playing from medium to long grass,
which maximizes distance from those lies. Trouble
Out utility woods are available in 3-, 5-, 7-
and 9-woods.
In testament to the Ultra Game Improvement Playability
of the new Trouble Out utility woods, GolfWorks
founder Ralph Maltby has a set in his bag.
