NEWARK,
OHIO — The GolfWorks congratulates five
new graduates who have successfully completed
the Professional Clubfitting School, one of
the clubmaking industry’s premier training
programs. The most recent Professional Clubfitting
School graduates include: Mike Bednarcik of
Ijamsville, Md.; Jerry Hoefling of Saginaw,
Mich.; Frederick Richardson of St. George,
Bermuda; Andy Boedecker of Maineville, Ohio;
and Randy Vaughn of Murphy, N.C.
“The GolfWorks Professional Clubfitting
School is the golf industry’s most comprehensive
training program dedicated to custom fitting,” says
Britt Lindsey, vice president of technical services
for The GolfWorks. “This specialized training
takes basic clubfitting to the next level, and
students learn to custom fit an entire set of
clubs to a golfer’s specific game and the
proper procedures for fitting woods, irons, wedges
and putters, using the Maltby Putter Fitting
System.
“Understanding the effects that a golfer’s
swing has on ball flight and performance is a
key to professionally fit a player to the right
clubs,” explains Lindsey. “The Professional
Clubfitting School training provides clubmakers
with a clear understanding of these effects and
how to address this key part of the clubfitting
process.”
Since 1982, thousands of clubmakers, golf industry
experts and PGA professionals have visited The
GolfWorks design and manufacturing campus in
Newark, Ohio, to learn the latest skills and
technology from the game’s premier technical
staff. GolfWorks classes qualify for PGA of America
Continuing Education credits and are approved
by the Professional Clubmakers Society.
