NEWARK,
Ohio — The GolfWorks welcomes several
more custom clubmakers who have successfully
completed The GolfWorks Fitting, Assembly & Repair
School, one of the clubmaking industry’s
premier technical certification programs. The
newest graduates include: Garry Arai of Wayne,
Mich.; Stephen Clarke of Amherst, Va.; James
A Fullarton of Havana, Fla.; Jerry Folkerts,
Springfield, Va.; Michael Prasco of Salem,
Ohio; and Pentti Railasto of Chicago.
“The GolfWorks Fitting, Assembly & Repair
School is the most comprehensive training program
available in clubmaking today,” says Britt
Lindsey, vice president of technical services
for The GolfWorks. “The GolfWorks founder
Ralph Maltby literally wrote the book on custom
fitting, golf club assembly and repair, so our
training staff is extremely dedicated in providing
attendees with a complete understanding of custom
clubmaking and repair skills.”
The GolfWorks Fitting, Assembly & Repair
School has set the standard for complete clubmaking
and repair instruction for two decades! During
the five-day session, each critical element of
clubmaking — fitting, assembly and repair — receives
extensive individual attention, but only in context
of how they combine to provide a comprehensive
understanding of complete golf equipment expertise.
An added bonus for attendees of this session
is a tour of the Maltby Design Golf Club Studio,
where they see one of the most comprehensive
and elaborate R&D prototype development centers
in the golf industry.
Since 1982, thousands of clubmakers, golf industry
experts and PGA professionals have visited The
GolfWorks design and manufacturing campus in
Newark, Ohio, to learn the latest skills and
technology from the game’s premier technical
staff. GolfWorks classes qualify for PGA of America
Continuing Education credits and are approved
by the Professional Clubmakers Society.
