SUNLAND, Calif. — Providing world-class consistency and dominating distance, the UST Proforce V2 Long Drive ‘LD’ graphite shaft — distributed and co-designed by Horsepower Golf — swept the Third Annual Sean Fister Classic in Little Rock, Arkansas, winning first-, second-, third- and fourth-place.
J.D. Murkerson of Dothan, Ala., teed up at the Chenal Country Club with a V2 LD-fit driver and blasted a final-round, 395-yard drive to win the two-day charity event well-known for its host, three-time RE/MAX World Long Drive Champion, Sean ‘The Beast’ Fister.
Brooks Baldwin of Mendenhall, Miss., finished second at 394 yards and Kevin Bullard of Cedartown, Ga., was third at 393 yards and Vince Howell tied for fourth with a 379-yard drive. All top four players trusted the Proforce V2 LD shaft for maximum distance.
The Proforce V2 LD graphite shaft, engineered by UST® (United Sports Technologies), features a longer-than-standard length to target golfers looking for an explosive release of energy in a longer shaft. The parabolic shaft design — made two inches longer than standard with an increased parallel tip section — provides a perfect set-up for all golfers. Shaft performance and how it relates to ball spin and launch angle is more important than ever, and the new Proforce V2 LD delivers an explosive release that works for all player types.
“I’ve never seen a graphite shaft provide this caliber of performance, especially for hitting the long ball,” says Horsepower Golf owner and 2002 RE/MAX World Long Senior Champion Pat Dempsey, “The Proforce V2 LD Series is an entirely new shaft concept. The engineers at UST developed a shaft that is easy to load and has an explosive release of energy at impact. It’s like a bullwhip.”
