TORRINGTON,
Conn. — In 2004, Precision Saber [TM]
graphite shafts by Royal Precision introduced
golfers to ‘Cutting Edge Launch Technology’ and
surprised so-called ‘Industry Insiders’ with
an impressive ranking for driving distance
on the PGA Tour. This year, Royal Precision
announces the expansion of its Saber and Saber
Tour lines of high-performance graphite shafts
with the addition of several new dedicated
launch options.
Introducing its all-new Saber High Vector, Saber
Tour Low Vector and Saber Hybrid Utility Wood
and Iron shafts, Royal Precision’s Saber
validates its growing reputation for advanced
material engineering and launch results. The
new Saber High Vector, for example, features
a reinforced amorphous material that effectively
softens the lower 16-18 inches of the shaft for
higher launch, a design feature far more effective
than so-called ‘tip soft’ shafts
which typically only focus on a six-inch tip
section. Conversely, the new Saber Tour Low Vector
incorporates a proprietary graphite material
that stiffens the lower section of the shaft
which produces a 4- to 5-degree lower trajectory
with a 1500-2000 rpm ball spin rate — flight
characteristics often preferred by advanced players.
The new Saber Hybrid Utility Wood and Iron feature
unique launch characteristics especially designed
for shorter-length utility clubs which often
require rapid launch from tough ground conditions.
As golf’s first graphite shaft brand solely
dedicated to advanced launch design, Saber has
clearly set a new benchmark for cutting-edge
shaft design that provides performance results
for golfers of all skill levels,” says
John Lauchnor, president and CEO of Royal Precision. “Whether
it’s a low, medium or high trajectory that
a golfer needs, Saber shafts achieve an unprecedented
level of launch control through ultra-sophisticated
material engineering and Energy Inertia (E.I.)
Curves, a unique shaft analysis process that
precisely measures the stiffness distribution
of a golf shaft from tip to butt. For the player,
the results are much less complicated – it
means controlled spin rates and distinctive launch
vectors for optimum trajectory and maximum distance.”
