2007-09-24 - SDGA Student Qualifies for RE/MAX Long Drive

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — The world’s oldest and largest golf college, San Diego Golf Academy (SDGA) proudly announces that Charlene Carson, a third-semester student at the SDGA Phoenix Campus, has qualified for the Women’s Re/Max Long Drive World Finals. Carson will join golfers from around the globe on October 22, 2007, in Mesquite, Nev., to compete for the world’s most prestigious long drive title.

“We couldn’t be more proud of Charlene,” says Tim Eberlein, campus director of SDGA Phoenix. “She has worked extremely hard to increase her driving accuracy and distance to this incredible level of competition. We are all cheering for her.”

Carson qualified for the tournament by hitting an impressive 309-yard drive, and she will be one of 32 qualifiers competing for the title of 2007 Woman’s Re/Max Long-Drive World Champion.
