- UST’s New V2 Prototype Wins Johnnie
Walker Classic |
FORT
WORTH, Texas — With several weeks still
remaining until its official unveiling, the all-new
Proforce V2 prototype graphite shaft has rocked
the graphite shaft industry and scored its second
professional tour victory. The win came at the
European Tour’s Johnnie Walker Classic
held at Pine Valley Golf Resort and Country Club
in Beijing with this year’s champion playing
the new Proforce V2 shaft in his driver.
Designed by United Sports Technologies ® (UST),
the Proforce V2 demonstrated a dramatic re-emergence
of the popular Proforce series by United Sports
Technologies ® (UST) and promises a tremendous
introduction for the new shaft when its made
available to the public in a few weeks.
“You can’t have much better feedback
on an all-new graphite shaft design than a couple
of tour victories, so we’re naturally very
excited about the Proforce V2,” says Shawn
Mullin, PGA Tour manager for UST. “The
new Proforce V2 is an incredibly powerful, super
low-torque golf shaft that masterfully balances
torque, weight, spin and launch angle to create
the most extraordinary power-to-torque ratio
in golf. The end result is super low-torque horsepower
in a high-performance Tour shaft.”
According to Mullin, the Proforce V2 shafts will
be offered in 55-, 65-, 75-, 85- and 95-gram
versions, however, the new shaft is still only
available as a prototype on Tour.
“The new Proforce V2 is already causing
quite a stir,” he says, “and it will
be available to the public very soon,” offers
Mullin.
